Governor, do you think this sort of confrontational tone can increase your odds in getting this through the legislature?

That's not confrontational.

I love when people say they don't want to have arguments.

That's why we were sent here for.

They believe in certain things

They believe in bigger government, higher taxes and more spending

I believe in less government, lower taxes and an empowering local official who were elected by their citizens to be able to fix their problems.

That may lead to a disagreement or two.

Now, I can say it really nicely.

I can say it in the way that you all might be more comfortable with.

Maybe we can go back to the Bush Administration,

I can say it in a way that you don't even understand it.

But, the fact of the matter is

this is who I am and this is who the people elected.

so if you guys want to continue to talk about this process stuff.

about my tone, my combativeness

We got in the door way in the senate they don't even hold a hearing

on the enormous qualifying nomination.

That's not combative and confrontational.

Nobody in New Jersey is gonna have to wonder where I am on an issue.

I think they have enough politicians who make them wonder.

I came here to govern, not to escape.

I came here to govern, not to worry about reelection.

I came here to do what people sent me here to do.

So, bound, direct.
